Glacier Precast has been in business since 1989. Owners, Tom and Tammy Anderson, purchased the business in 1999 and have grown the company to ship products all over the state of Montana and into southern Alberta. The current facility was completed in 2006 with an automated batch plant and 5 overhead cranes, pouring approximately 120 tons of concrete a day! Glacier Precast Concrete became the first National Precast Concrete Association Certified Plant in Montana in September of 2010 and also became Canada Standards Association certified in 2011.
During this tour, Glacier Precast will be stripping and pouring box culverts for the Going to the Sun Road Highway Project in Glacier National Park, sanitary and storm drain manholes for the new construction at Kalispell North Town Center, and Glacier Rail Park projects. This tour is loud, exciting, and will feature many components of constructions projects you’ve seen recently happening across the entire valley!
Requirements: Closed toe shoes. Safety glasses and hard hats will be provided by Glacier Precast. Some of the tour will be outdoors so please dress for weather.
