You will have the opportunity to tour Nomad’s facility, learn about its technologically advanced solutions, and see numerous projects in various states of construction. From the machining, welding, and fabrication of vehicle parts, to the integration of cutting-edge IT gear, the Nomad shop floor is a hive of activity. You’ll see the Nomad TCV (Tactical Command Vehicle) that is changing the mobile command game, and you’ll recognize many past customers on photos throughout the facility, including the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Navy, Flathead County Emergency Services, Army Corps of Engineers, Federal Aviation Administration, FEMA, Bureau of Indian Affairs, Palo Verde Nuclear Station, and many more.
Nearly two decades ago, Nomad GCS was founded by four friends who wanted to make a difference. Brothers Will and Seth Schmautz, along with fellow river raft guides Shane Ackerly and Clay Binford saw a need for improved connectivity to remote Montana wildfire lines. In 2002, the group built its first communications trailer in an old barn in the Flathead Valley and never looked back. Today, Nomad designs and manufactures the world’s best-connected mobile command and communication solutions. From nimble tactical vehicles to comprehensive command centers (and all points between), the company provides best-in-class products for government agencies, utilities, law enforcement, military, first responders, and private companies. Whatever the mission, Nomad is committed to creating interoperable systems that work simply, and simply work. Every time… When Every Minute Matters.
