Description
This chamber orchestra concert will offer a variety of American music by familiar and those not-so-familiar composers. On the menu will be the original chamber version of the popular ballet, Appalachian Spring by Aaron Copland, solemn music from strings by African-American composers George Walker, and more. Principal Beth Pirrie will be featured in the Poem from Flute and Orchestra by Charles Griffes.
