Event Description:
NWMT Head Start cordially invites members to consider adopting a class!
Head Start prepares 3-5 year old lower income children for kindergarten and assists their families with health, education, employment, nutrition, etc. information.
Currently, the Kalispell Head Start has 112 children attending.
Two full day classes (7:30 AM/5 PM) and four half day classes (8:30 AM/12:30 PM and 1/5 PM) and classes have 17-19 children.
Our Adopt A Class program asks sponsors to help with literacy (books), winter outdoor clothing for the children, and assistance with the "Read to Me, Daddy" program which supplies books, flannel reading blankets, and field trips for children and their dads quarterly during the school year.
Please contact Amy Orser, Volunteer Coordinator, if you are able to help with this most worthwhile program or would like additional information. Phone: 752-7011
