This is a four-part lecture series, "Wildland Fire in Western Montana". Join the DNRC for the next four Thursday evenings as we explore fire history in the Flathead and the behavior of fire. Meet the local fire program managers, and learn what we can do to protect what is most important to us: our family, home, property, and community!

  • March 1 - Suppressing Wildfires, Prescribed Fire, Fire Behavior, and Effects of Fire Thursday
  • March 8 - A panel discussion with local fire program managers from the DNRC, Flathead National Forest, Flathead County, Stoltze Land & Lumber, and Glacier National Park. Thursday
  • March 15 - Home & Landowners Living with Wildfire in NW Montana
