The Salvation Army Plans Renovations at Thrift Store in Kalispell, MT
Store-wide clearance this week, before temporary closure
(KALISPELL, MT) – The Salvation Army announced today that renovations are planned for its thrift store
in Kalispell, MT.

In preparation for the renovations, a store-wide clearance sale will be held this week, February 25
through March 1. Shopping hours are Monday through Friday, 9am to 6pm. Prices have been greatly
reduced to clear inventory and make way for improvements to the store.

After this week, the store will be temporarily closed for several weeks for renovations. The store is
scheduled to reopen in late March with a grand reopening celebration. Date and details of the
reopening will be announced in the coming weeks.

“We have a strong tradition of operating a thrift store in Kalispell. It’s a popular shopping destination,
and the proceeds from the items sold support Salvation Army services to local families in need” reported
Captain Jonathan Harvey. As General Secretary of The Salvation Army in the Northwest, Captain Harvey
oversees business operations of the non-profit social service agency. “But it’s time for some updates.
We’re looking forward to reopening in late March with a new look and better shopping experience.”

The building, located at 1500 S. Main Street, Kalispell, is owned by The Salvation Army. During the
renovation period, donations of gently used furniture, clothing, household goods will continue to be
accepted. Donation days and times are Monday through Saturday, 9am to 6pm.

Established in 1895, The Salvation Army in Kalispell provides social services to families in need. Among
the programs offered are meal program, food bank, rent and utility assistance, and emergency disaster
services. Last year, The Salvation Army in Kalispell served more than 2,200 individuals in the community.
