Honoring Native American Heritage Month, the symphony is offering a multimedia program, WestWater Arts’ “Visions,” a heartfelt tribute to America’s First Peoples through the unmistakable images of legendary photographer Edward Curtis and National Park imagery choreographed to music by Vaughn Williams. World flutist Suzanne Teng is featured in Maestro Zoltek’s world premiere of Earth Anthem, based on the poetry of University of Montana professor and Salish Kootenai poet, Heather Cahoon. The concert evening will open with ceremonial songs by Blackfeet artist, Keven Kickingwoman, and art installations including work by artist Monica Gilles-BringsYellow.
