Kalispell’s Picnic in the Park Summer Concert Series Returns with Free Live Music Every Wednesday

Kalispell, MT - July 3, 2025 - The sounds of summer are back. The beloved Picnic in the Park Summer Concert Series is returning to downtown Kalispell marking 34 years of celebrating free live music and family-friendly fun to the community all season long.

Hosted at Depot Park, this long-running series features a diverse lineup of talented local and regional musicians every Wednesday at 12 noon and 6:00 p.m. beginning July 9 through August 20.  From rock and blues to country and folk, there’s something for everyone to enjoy under the Montana sky.

“Picnic in the Park is all about community,” said Stephanie Brown, Recreation Superintendent. “These concerts are a chance for friends and families to come together, enjoy great music, and celebrate summer right in the heart of Kalispell.”

What makes these concerts truly special is that they remain 100% free to the public, thanks to the incredible support of generous local sponsors. Their commitment to arts, culture, and community allows us to keep this cherished tradition going strong year after year. This year’s title sponsors, Glacier Grins Pediatric Density and Kalispell Toyota have especially demonstrated their desire to give back to the community and contribute positively to what makes Flathead Valley such a special place to live, work, and play.

“We’re so grateful to our sponsors who help make this possible,” said Brown. “Their generosity fuels the music, creates opportunities for local performers, and brings joy to thousands of people throughout the summer.”

Concertgoers can also look forward to visiting sponsor tables at many performances - an opportunity to learn more about local businesses and organizations supporting the series.  Several sponsors will be onsite offering free children’s activities, and more - like the FREE community ice cream social with Parkside Credit Union on July 9.

Additionally, popular raffle drawings are returning this year, with fantastic items donated by local businesses and sponsors, including weekly Range Rider tickets provided by Performance Real Estate. Proceeds from the raffles help fund future seasons of Picnic in the Park, ensuring the music continues for years to come.
