 SUMMARY:

This position will teach and demonstrate habilitation services to individuals with developmental disabilities. This person will work with one to four individuals at the Kalispell Thrift store.

Responsibilities include assisting in implementing, assessing, and evaluating individual program plans for work training services. Client specific training will be provided and employees will be required to follow set guidelines for each individual based off of the need of the person we are providing services to.

In addition, this position will actively participate in all thrift store assignments such as accepting goods, processing such goods and stocking the store on a daily basis. (please see job description for more details)

Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday 10a-6p 



Requirements


  • The position requires education and experience equivalent to a high school diploma and completion of occupationally-specific training.
  • Ability to pass criminal and other background checks.
  • Valid Montana Driver's License, maintenance of a good driving record, and insurability for operation of company vehicles.
  • Successfully completed phase 1 of Flathead Industries Career Path Training.
  • Ability to successfully perform all responsibilities shown above.
  • Ability to establish and maintain professional; effective, harmonious, working relationships.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with stakeholders, including but not limited to staff, consumers, family members, medical professionals and community members.
  • Ability to show critical thinking and positive decision-making skills.
  • Ability to safely and frequently lift, move or otherwise handle items weighing 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills.
