The Wachholz College Center (WCC) announced their ‘26-’27 season lineup and a variety of summer performances at their 4th Annual Open House on June 18. Around 1,250 people gathered in the O’Shaughnessy Outdoor Amphitheatre to listen to a free concert by local funk band 20 Grand along with the unveiling of WCC’s 21 new upcoming shows. Patrons had the first opportunity to buy tickets to the new show lineup as well as Glacier Symphony events without ticket fees.

July at Wachholz College Center showcases an exciting mix of bluegrass, classic rock and country music. Grammy Award-winning mandolin virtuoso Sierra Hull opens the month on July 14 with her groundbreaking musicianship and contemporary bluegrass sound. On July 24, Killer Queen delivers a spectacular tribute to one of rock's greatest bands, recreating Queen's iconic hits with stunning authenticity. Then country music takes center stage during the weekend as chart-topping artist Sara Evans performs on July 25, followed by Country Music Hall of Famer Marty Stuart & His Fabulous Superlatives on July 26, for two evenings of back-to-back timeless country music and unmistakable Nashville style.

The month wraps up with an outdoor show by alt-country pioneers Old 97’s on July 28 in the O’Shaughnessy Outdoor Amphitheatre directly outside the WCC building backdoors. Celebrated for their infectious fusion of rock, country, folk and power pop, Old 97’s have been a driving force in alt-country since the early 90s. Tickets to the show are general admission with relaxed festival-style seating and are just $28 for adults, $20 for youth. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy food trucks on-site as well as a variety of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for purchase.

The WCC summer season draws to a close with a Montana Shakespeare in the Park performance on Friday, August 14 with their rendition of “Much Ado About Nothing” in the O’Shaughnessy Outdoor Amphitheatre. Formerly held at Woodland Park in Kalispell, this is the first year the Bozeman-based group will perform their popular annual August event at WCC. A company of 11 actors make up the MSIP summer troupe that embarks on a 12-week tour across the West, visiting 64 communities each year. All ages are welcome to attend and no tickets are required for this free community event. Bring lawn chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening together under the Big Sky among friends and neighbors.
